High Strain Behaviour of Ultrafine‑grained Aluminium Alloys Processed Through the Severe Plastic Deformation Techniques: A Review

In the present study, various literature based on high strain rate behaviour of ultrafine-grained (UFG) aluminium alloys produced through severe plastic deformation techniques have been discussed. It was observed from that under (3000–120000 s−1) adiabatic shear bands (ASBs) were formed which is main reason for dynamic failure. These ASBs failure Al when they exposed to impact. The are mainly two types i.e. deformed and transformed ASBs. As increased, at initial stage localization further changed into found in 6061-T6 alloy 6754 s−1, helped resisting sudden UFG 6061 processed friction stir processing (FSP) cryogenic temperature (173 K) shows maximum hardening 120000 s−1 as compared other reported studies.
